The Trinity church is known by the name Martaziskhevi and stands by Dzegvi village. In Georgian villages a dedication to the Holy Trinity more often belongs to monasteries and large churches than to small parish ones.
The church stands apart from the main Dzegvi cluster: the church of St George Mtatsmindeli lies about a kilometre and three hundred and sixty metres away, the St Nino church of Armazi a kilometre and four hundred and fifty, and the other Dzegvi churches further off, beyond the Mtkvari.
The church is rural and its gates are opened by arrangement. The rules are the usual ones: covered shoulders and knees, a headscarf for women, quiet. The track here is a country one, so in rain a higher car makes the place easier to reach.
