The Marian church stands in Magraneti village. The dedication is named plainly here, and no other name has stayed with the church.
Another shrine of the village, the ruins of an old church, stands very close, about three hundred and forty metres away. Further off in the hills begins the district of Kvemo Nakalakari: a little over three kilometres from here to its church.
The church has no gates and no fence, so you can come at any hour, yet this is an open site rather than a standing parish. The rules are those of any church: covered shoulders and knees, a headscarf for women, quiet, and the candles and what others have left are better left untouched.
