The church dedicated to Saint George stands in Tsveri. The name of the village translates as peak and describes the setting exactly: the building occupies the highest point of the area.
Tsveri lies in the mountainous northern part of Dmanisi Municipality, between Gomareti and the Tetritskaro hills. A sakvdari near Didi Gomareti is marked about five kilometres away. The area is open, with distant views and almost no trees.
Enter quietly if the door is open, and do not disturb those at prayer. The site remains part of the everyday life of the area, and that deserves respect.
