The church stands on the right bank of the Loki river, in the area of the Loki ridge, on an open field that the people of Poladauri call Papakhchi Tala. Tala means field in the local language, while the meaning of the word Papakhchi has been lost. A wide meadow spreads around it and a cemetery lies to the west.
The hall of about nine metres by six is laid of medium sized ashlars of local stone, among which well worked blocks of almost equal size turn up. On the south the building rests on a low single step plinth, while the north side is hidden by fallen soil.
The entrance is on the south: outside the door is dressed with an architrave, inside the opening is arched, and a small window is cut into the door jambs. One window each on the east, south and west gave the light, and inside all of them were arched and widened towards the interior. Sources place the church in the span from the 10th to the 15th century.
