The church stands in the rural part of Gardabani Municipality, about two kilometres from the Kviratskhoveli church of the village of Norio. It is a single building on an open site.
The area lies northeast of Tbilisi, at the transition from the city outskirts to the plain by the Kura. Norio and the neighbouring villages stand on the edge of Gardabani Municipality, closer to the capital than to its centre. Summers here are dry, with fields and light woodland around.
Keep a restrained manner: for nearby villages this is a working place of prayer. The site remains part of the everyday life of the area, and that deserves respect.
