The church of St George stands in Elpia village of Tetritskaro Municipality. It is a village Orthodox church where people gather on the saintโs feast days.
The village lies on the northern edge of the municipality, in the foothills of the Trialeti range. Four kilometres away is Enageti with its own church of St George, so the district has several churches of the same dedication.
You can walk up at any time, and modest dress is appropriate for services. Quiet is expected inside, and offerings are left where they are.
