Iori National Park is located in Sighnaghi Municipality, Kakheti, in the valley of the river of the same name. It's one of ten protected areas in the region, gathered in the guide to Kakheti's national parks and reserves. The park was established in 1965, covers 1,336 hectares, and its southern border adjoins the neighbouring Korugi National Park.
The park contains the Dali mountain reservoir and a system of irrigation channels. Flora includes protected species: the Georgian iris and Eichler's tulip, alongside barberry, tamarisk, cystus, juniper, oriental hornbeam and Christ's thorn.
The park's fauna is diverse: mammals include wild boar, wolf and otter. Birds recorded here include pheasant, black francolin, chukar, Egyptian vulture, griffon vulture, long-eared owl and kestrel. Reptiles include the Mediterranean spur-thighed tortoise and the blunt-nosed viper, a venomous snake typical of eastern Georgia's dry landscapes.
