The church of St Nino stands in Vani village of Kharagauli Municipality. This is not the Vani known as a town in western Imereti: several villages in the region carry the name.
The village lies south of Kharagauli, in hills above the valley. A hundred and fifty steps away stands the second village church, dedicated to St George.
You can come at any time, and modest dress is appropriate for services. Quiet is expected inside, and candles are lit by the entrance.
