Ketevan, the seventeenth-century queen of Kakheti, died a martyr in Persian captivity after refusing to renounce Christianity. Churches of her name are numerous across Georgia, and in this survey her dedication appears for the second time: the first was in Samtskhe-Javakheti.
Meore Obcha, Second Obcha, lies in Baghdati Municipality of Imereti. The prefix meore, second, works just as patara and didi do in other districts: it marks one of a pair of settlements sharing a name, and a First Obcha should be somewhere nearby.
No dating has become attached to the building. The Imeretian part of the survey is small but dense: several sites of Baghdati Municipality stand within a short drive. Dress soberly, women bring a headscarf.
