The church of Saint George stands on a rise in the cemetery of Bzhinevi village in Kharagauli Municipality. It is a large hall built by Greeks in the late nineteenth century: the building is raised of smooth stone and faced with hewn.
The corner stones and the surfaces of the openings are polished more carefully than the rest and project slightly from the plane of the wall. The walls are now covered with later plaster that is damaged, discoloured and peeling in places, and beneath it an excellent masonry of hewn stone with slightly roughened ashlars shows through.
All the openings are rectangular. Short gables finish the profiled door surrounds, slender half columns, relief crosses and profiled shelves work in the design of the portals, and the almost square windows are framed by wide smooth surrounds. There are three doors, a window in the sanctuary and a round window on the west. Inside, the long walls are marked by a pair of hewn pilasters, and hewn stone was used for the arches between them, the corners of the sanctuary and the window splays.
