The naeklesiari lies on a rise in the middle of a field about three kilometres northeast of Laituri village in Ozurgeti Municipality. A berry plantation spreads around it and a water tower stands to the south, so the place has long been in working use.
The church, rectangular in plan, is ruined mostly down to plinth level. The masonry of the eastern part is the best preserved, standing about a metre high. The building rested on a single tier plinth, and the surviving wall is laid of cobble and flat stones on lime mortar.
Carved cornice blocks dressed with colonnettes are scattered around. They show that the church had a worked out facade design, though almost nothing of the facades themselves remains. Sources place the building in the Middle Ages, the broad span from the 4th to the 18th century.
