Operational mode of traffic on the road in Guria: features and time intervals

From August 8 to September 8 this year, a special traffic regime will operate on the 13-32.6 km of the Ozurgeti-Shemokmedi-Bzhuzhges-Gomismta highway in Western Georgia. This is due to the implementation of rehabilitation measures at this site, which are carried out by the Department of Highways of Georgia.

During the period of the regime, which will last a month, traffic on this road will be allowed only for off-road vehicles. Control and coordination of the implementation of this regime will be carried out by regional units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

On weekdays, from Monday to Friday, cars with high traffic will be able to move along this section only from 05:00 to 09:00 hours. On Saturday there will be two intervals - from 05:00 to 09:00 and from 15:00 to 20:00. On Sunday, traffic will be allowed from 05:00 to 20:00.

It is important to note that outside of the specified time intervals, on any day of the week, the movement of all types of vehicles on this section will be prohibited.

The creation of such a traffic regime is aimed at ensuring the safety and effectiveness of rehabilitation work on the road in Guria, as well as minimizing traffic congestion and ensuring normal mobility for off-road vehicles.
