Tbilisi in the center of Eastern Europe: Georgia is preparing to become an honorary guest of the Paris Art Festival "Un Weekend à l'EST"

The aim of the art festival "Un Weekend à l'EST", which will be held in Paris from November 22 to 27, 2023, will be to present the culture of Eastern Europe to the general French-speaking public. And this time the main role is given to Georgia and its capital - Tbilisi. This important cultural holiday, which is already being held in Paris for the seventh time, was decided to devote to Georgian literature, visual art, cinema, theater and music. Warsaw, Kiev, Budapest, Belgrade, Sofia and Odessa received similar honorary participation earlier.

As part of the festival, the organizers have planned to hold up to 30 events that will take place in significant spaces of Paris. More than 50 Georgian writers and artists selected by the curators of the French festival will take part in these events. It is expected that the art festival will be attended by up to five thousand guests who will be able to plunge into the world of diverse Georgian culture. True connoisseurs of literature are expected at literary events and film screenings, and the musical vibrations of Georgian performers will touch the souls of many.

The writer Nana Ekvtimishvili will become the ambassador of the festival "Un Weekend à l'EST", representing Georgia at this cultural festival. And the guest of honor of the event will be the Georgian writer Nino Kharatishvili, who lives in Germany. Her work collects rave reviews and finds its recognition abroad.
