The Georgian Foreign Ministry is preparing to join the EU.
On June 27, the country will pass the date of 7 years since the conclusion of the Association Agreement of the European Union.
In 2014, a pact was signed in Brussels during the summit of the leaders of the EU members, which stipulates jointly adopted priorities for a period of two years. Their main goal is the participation of the partner country in the free trade zone.
At the signing ceremony of the international document, the Georgian Prime Minister noted that the path towards the Old World will require efforts, but upon its completion the country will become a full part of the European family.
The signing of the agreement marked a new stage for the economy of the partner party, which is integration with Europe.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs plans that in three years the state will implement the terms of the Agreement by 65 percent and will apply for official membership in the EU.
