The Olga convent in Mtskheta is a house of nuns. Its name is in use in the Russian form, and no second name has stayed with the place.
The convent stands by the Karsani edge of the town: about eight hundred and forty metres from here to the Marian church of Karsani village and a little over a kilometre to the church of St Nino in the same village. In the other direction the Kodmani district rises with its monasteries, and Mtskheta itself lies below with Svetitskhoveli.
Neither the car park nor the entrance is adapted for wheelchairs, which is worth knowing in advance. Otherwise the rules are those of any convent: covered shoulders and knees, a headscarf, quiet, photography by permission. Talk and calls by the gates are as out of place here as they are inside.
