The ancient building of the Annunciation Church in Kutaisi impresses with its scale from the first minutes. The similarity with the cathedrals of St. Petersburg is obvious, because it was built by order of Emperor Alexander I.
Now the church is considered the main Catholic church in the city. The interior decoration is completely different from the external appearance of the temple, and this is not surprising. After all, at first there was an Orthodox cathedral, and then it was transferred to the possession of Catholics. The main altar is decorated with unique statues of angels, for which it is worth going inside.
A wonderful place with excellent views of the Rioni River, the city and the Bagrat temple.

Посетила собор вчера и это было поистине величественное и вдохновляющее зрелище. Величие архитектуры, красота резьбы и мозаик на стенах собора поразили меня своим великолепием. Внутреннее убранство оставило незабываемые впечатления, вызывая чувство благоговения и восхищения. Погрузиться в историю и культуру, ощутить дух веков - все это можно было почувствовать в этом замечательном месте. Я провела здесь время с глубоким восхищением и умиротворением. Рекомендую всем посетить этот собор, чтобы ощутить его величие и красоту своими глазами.
