Short answer
The Greater Caucasus runs across northern Georgia and the Lesser Caucasus across the south, and the country's highest peak is Shkhara in Svaneti, at about 5,200 metres. The best-known mountain is Kazbek, Mkinvartsveri in Georgian, at about 5,050 metres, visible from Stepantsminda. The mountains above Batumi are the Adjara range, part of the Lesser Caucasus.
