How do you get from Tbilisi Airport to the city centre?

App taxis, the city bus and transfers.

Short answer

The quickest way from Tbilisi Airport to the centre is an app taxi: the ride takes 20-30 minutes and usually costs 25-40 GEL. The city bus from the terminal through the centre is cheaper, paid with a transport card or bank card. The airport is about 17 kilometres from the centre.

Why

  1. Taxi drivers in arrivals often quote higher prices than the apps.
  2. Buses run less often at night, and many flights land at night, so taxis are more common.
  3. You can buy a SIM card for taxi apps at the airport.

Details

Check the bus number and timetable at the stop by the terminal or in the city transport app. If you land late, book a hotel transfer in advance.
