How much does accommodation cost in Georgia: hotels, short stays and rentals?
A night in a hotel, short-term flats and monthly rent.
Short answer
A hostel night in Tbilisi or Batumi costs about 25-50 GEL, a short-stay flat or 3-star hotel 100-200 GEL, and a good 4-5-star hotel from 300 GEL. Batumi prices are much higher in summer and drop off-season. A one-bedroom flat in Tbilisi rents from about 500 US dollars a month outside the centre and from 700 in the centre.
Why
- Accommodation prices depend heavily on season and district.
- Long-term rents are often quoted in dollars, although by law payment is in lari.
- Monthly or longer rentals usually require a deposit of one month's rent.
Details
In the mountains and regions, guesthouses are cheaper and often include a home-cooked breakfast. With long-term rentals, utilities are usually paid separately.
