Georgia is divided into 9 regions, 2 autonomous republics, Adjara and Abkhazia, and the capital Tbilisi, which has a separate status. Five cities are self-governing: Tbilisi, Batumi, Kutaisi, Rustavi and Poti. The country has several dozen towns and cities, the largest being Tbilisi, Batumi and Kutaisi.
