How do you pay for parking in Tbilisi, and how much does it cost?
Hourly zones, passes, the app and fines.
Short answer
Central Tbilisi has hourly zones costing 1 to 3 GEL an hour depending on the zone, with the first 15 minutes free. You pay via the Tbilisi Parking app, the City Hall website, street payment terminals or banking apps, entering your plate number and the zone code from the sign. The fine for not paying or parking illegally is 50 GEL, and the car may be towed.
Why
- The zone and rate are shown on the plate under the P sign.
- Outside hourly zones, marked spaces require a city pass for a week, six months or a year.
- Airport, station and gated car parks are paid separately.
Details
Foreign plates can also be paid for through banking apps and terminals. Parking fines can be checked and paid on the City Hall website within 30 days.
