Georgia inflation October 2026: 5.9% annual, transport prices up 21.9%

Georgia's national statistics office published its October 2026 inflation figures on 3 November. The consumer price index rose 0.9% against September 2026, and prices were 5.9% higher than in October 2025. These are national figures, not a Tbilisi-only price survey.

Core annual inflation came in at 4.0%, or 3.9% when tobacco is left out. Food and non-alcoholic beverages rose just 3.1% over the year, well below the headline rate. Anyone sizing up everyday expenses in the country can use these figures as background next to the Georgia cost of living guide.

Transport was the main driver of price growth. It was 21.9% dearer than a year earlier, and it contributed 2.54 percentage points to the annual 5.9% rate. Housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels rose 10.1% over the same twelve months.

The National Statistics Office of Georgia publishes these figures as national data, so they give general background for any personal calculation. To get a sense of typical monthly amounts, it helps to open the budget FAQ and compare them with your own situation.
