The church of Saint George stands in Zemo Dimi in Baghdati Municipality and is one of the active churches of Imereti. The hall building is laid of precisely hewn yellow blocks and raised on a terrace.
The plan is rectangular, with a semicircular apse adjoining it from the east and pierced by three arched windows, and two niches of different sizes cut into its northern part. The conch is filled by an image of the Virgin Mary, while a two tier solea and a carved wooden altar screen stand before the altar. The doors and windows of the north and south walls are placed symmetrically, and one more arched entrance leads in from the west.
The floor is laid with hewn stone slabs and the walls are whitewashed and painted. The roof was later rebuilt completely: the vault was dismantled and replaced by a trapezoidal roof on a timber frame. Sources date the church to 1812.
