The Mikheil Lomaia House Museum keeps the belongings, documents and photographs tied to the name of its owner, along with the setting of a village house. Narazeni is a rare case where one small village holds two memorial houses at once, and it makes sense to see them one after the other. Everything is shown in person, so the visit turns out informal.
The house stands in Narazeni, a village in the Zugdidi municipality, on the plain south east of Zugdidi. Around it are orchards, fields and the roads towards Khobi and Senaki. The other collection in the village is a few minutes away.
The house is small, half an hour is enough here and about an hour for both village museums. The first half of the day is the easier time, and it is better to arrange the visit through the village in advance. Combine the trip with Zugdidi.
Tips
- See both village museums on one trip
- Arrange the visit through the village in advance
- Combine the trip with the Dadiani palace in Zugdidi
How to get there
- South east from Zugdidi along the local road, about twenty minutes by car
- Roughly two hours from Kutaisi via Samtredia and Senaki
