The abandoned Metallurg sanatorium in Tskhaltubo is a unique object built between 1955 and 1957. The building, made in an architectural style similar to the Imereti sanatorium, least attracts the attention of researchers and architecture lovers with its side halls and a central lobby with a round hole and a giant chandelier. The sanatorium was designed by architects V. Kedia and I. M. Solovyova for employees of the metallurgical industry and is oriented with a facade to the south.

    Schönes Sanatorium, aber der Eintritt kostet etwas. Viele Einrichtungsgegenstände und der Bodenbelag fehlen bereits. Trotzdem ist es ein schöner Ort für Hobby- und Profifotografen.

    Dunkle Tourismus kann wirklich Spaß machen! Am Eingang muss man 5 GEL bezahlen, aber das lohnt sich.

    Dit sanatorium vind ik zelf iets beter dan het nabijgelegen Medea sanatorium. Binnen is er meer bewaard gebleven, waardoor de sfeer duidelijker naar voren komt. Het is zeer indrukwekkend.

    Здесь все еще живут люди. Из-за этого лобби намного лучше сохранилось по сравнению с другими близлежащими бывшими курортами, которые полностью разграблены.
