A church of the Most Holy Mother of God, known by a second name, Tskhrakara. It breaks down literally: tskhra is nine and kara is door. Nine doors. What lies behind such a name, a feature of the building or an old toponym, is not explained, and we will not guess.
The church belongs to the Nagarevi locality, north-west of Terjola. The locality gathers several holy places: a church of the Saviour by Tsutskhvati, an Archangel church by Godogani and the ruins of a Saint George church between them. Village boundaries and the boundaries of an old church site do not coincide here, which is ordinary for localities. The century of building is not established.
The parish is rural and services are infrequent. Dress modestly, women wear a headscarf. The churches of the locality are easy to cover in one trip, with village roads between them.
