This impressive mural on the side of the building, created by artist David Samkharadze, is dedicated to the famous Georgian writer and poet Vazha-Pshavela. His figure is depicted in traditional clothes, with a shepherd's crook in his hand, symbolizing the connection with nature and Georgian culture. Vazhi-Pshavela's face expresses wisdom and fortitude, reflecting his role as a protector and singer of Georgian traditions.
Elements of nature can be seen in the background - a sleeping fawn and a flying bird, which emphasize harmony between man and wild nature, so characteristic of the poet’s work. Branches and grass create a smooth transition from his figure to the surrounding world, symbolizing the unity of man with the natural environment. A flying white stork and a round disk reminiscent of the sun or moon add lightness and sublimity to this composition.
This mural reflects Vazhi-Pshavela’s love for his native land and his deep philosophical reflections on life , nature and people.
