The municipal animal shelter in Tbilisi is an important part of the structure of the Department of Animal Control and Regulation of the Animal Supervision Agency. The main goal of the shelter is to prevent the spread of diseases among animals and control the number of homeless animals. This is achieved through a complex of various measures for the care and maintenance of animals, as well as veterinary procedures.
The shelter meets all the necessary conditions for the successful performance of its functions. Laboratory tests make it possible to detect diseases in a timely manner and take the necessary measures. To isolate animals for quarantine, special enclosures are equipped, which are completely isolated from the general ones. This provides additional safety for both the animals and the shelter staff. In addition, special walking areas are provided for animals, which helps maintain their physical activity and mental health.
Animal shelter in Tbilisi plays a significant role in the city's ecosystem, providing control and regulation of animal numbers. The organization cooperates with various government and non-government agencies to achieve its goals. Visiting a shelter can be beneficial for people who are interested in animal adoption, seeking medical help for lost pets, or want to contribute through volunteer activities. A municipal animal shelter is not only a place for temporary housing of animals, but also an important center for ensuring their well-being in an urban environment.
