Other tourists were smoking, playing loud YouTube videos, and talking on the phone, but we were asked to leave for quietly playing cards. Also, it’s very pricey.

The restaurant is housed in a 300-year-old building, which makes me wonder how it remains so straight and sturdy compared to much of the newer structures in the city. The bar is lovely, and the atmosphere is charming, especially if you're fortunate enough to enjoy live performances by local Georgian musicians at a nearby table.
Downstairs, there's a traditional Georgian wine cellar with a unique brewing method that differs from the rest of Europe. Cristina, the Manager, is happy to give you a tour, though she might require security to unlock the door. If the hotel receptionists are overly friendly, security could be less accommodating, possibly even removing the TV from the lobby to prevent you from watching the World Cup too close to them. They might also ask the cleaner to vacuum right by the TV to discourage your proximity. These amusing quirks provide a fascinating glimpse into the Georgian culture for any traveler! - G
