Gürcü şair, yazar ve filolog Giorgi Leonidze'nin doğduğu köy olan Patardzeuli, Tiflis'in doğusunda, Sagarejo yakınlarında bulunuyor. Ailesi yerel bir rahip ve öğretmen olan Nicolaus Leonidze ve Sofio Gulisashvili'ydi. Leonidze, yazmaya 1911'de başlamış, ancak edebi görüşleri Oscar Wilde hakkındaki makalesinden sonra daha belirgin hale gelmiş.
