    Скульптура "Равноапостольная Нина, просветительница Грузии" расположена на Трельской возвышенности. Памятник был открыт в 1994 году, а его создание началось в 1988 году. Его автор — Зураб Церетели, президент Российской академии художеств и народный художник СССР.

    Высота памятника составляет 19 метров. Святой Нина изображена на постаменте в форме креста, в её поднятой руке находится позолоченный крест, обвитый виноградной лозой, что символизирует её миссию и христианство в Грузии.

    На монументе, за спиной святой Нины, расположены колокола, символизирующие силу Евангельской проповеди, которая была услышана по всей Иверии (современной Грузии).

    Святая Нина, почитаемая как христианская просветительница Грузии, была племянницей Иерусалимского патриарха Ювеналия и воспитывалась благочестивой старицей. Она пришла в Иверию, спасаясь от гонений императора Диоклетиана, и помогала людям, исцеляя молитвой и проповедуя Евангелие. Нина обратила тысячи людей к Христу, включая царя Мариана. После тридцати лет проповеди она мирно отошла к Господу в 335 году.
