The Mother Georgia (Kartlis Deda) monument rises on Sololaki Hill and is one of the symbols of Tbilisi. The huge figure of a woman with a sword and a cup represents the hospitality and strength of the Georgian people.

The platform at the foot of the monument offers an impressive view of the Old Town, the Kura River and the modern quarters of the capital. The best vantage point is at the base of the monument and just below, where you can see Tbilisi from above and enjoy the atmosphere of privacy.

    The statue is nice, but the city's view is even more impressive. It's a fantastic spot for a walk or to take the cable car. Definitely worth visiting if you’re in the area.

    Tiflis'te görülmesi gereken yerlerden biri bu Gürcü Ana Heykeli. Teleferikle gitmek oldukça kolaydı. Teleferik için şehir ulaşım kartı almak gerekiyor; kartın ücreti 2 GEL, teleferik ise kişi başı 2,50 GEL. Yolculuk kısa sürüyor ama manzaralar gerçekten muhteşem.

    Heykeline ulaştığınızda Tiflis’i yüksekten görebiliyor ve harika fotoğraflar çekebiliyorsunuz. Ayrıca çevresinde oturup manzarayı seyredebileceğiniz güzel kafeler var. Genelde şehir merkezine yürüyerek dönmek mümkün ama bizim gittiğimizde bazı yollar bakımdaydı. Hava çok sıcak olduğu için biz de teleferikle geri döndük. Tiflis’i ziyaret eden herkese bu deneyimi tavsiye ederim.

    Krásný výhled na město. Lanovkou se dá vyjet za 2,5 GEL a pak je to jen 3 minuty k soše. K soše se dá přiblížit jen zezadu, takže na fotky to moc není. Skvělá procházka dolů čtvrtí Betlém, s malými starými domečky, zákoutími a výhledy na město, navíc spousta koček. 😊
