Maternity hospital "MediClinic"

I was at a clinic in Tbilisi in mid-May 2026 with my child who is under one year old, specifically in the infectious diseases department. I paid the full amount out of pocket without insurance. Thankfully, my child received successful treatment, and I'm grateful to the doctors for that.

However, the staff's attitude was quite indifferent and unpleasant. During our five-day stay in the paid section, we were not provided with any meals. It wasn't until the third evening that they asked if I wanted cheese and a bun. Meanwhile, I noticed that other wards were receiving food. Managing with a child under one year old and without family support (as I was in another country) made the situation even more challenging and exhausting.

Throughout our hospitalization, I had to carry my child along with all our belongings, and no one offered to help. When I asked questions or sought assistance, one staff member responded rudely about the Russian language, saying, “Oh, how I don’t like speaking Russian” and “Why don’t you know Georgian?”

I expected a much higher standard of service from a clinic of this level. The lack of empathy shown to a mother with a young child was shocking.

I had my child at this clinic, and after going downstairs to see my family, I wasn't allowed back up to my wife and newborn. Coming from Denmark, this was completely crazy. There was no one at the reception except my family and a security guard who refused to assist. He told me to wait. After 45 minutes, I called our doctor from Persona, who had already left, and she contacted the hospital. Only then did they resolve the situation after nearly an hour. It was maddening. The guard could have easily helped, but it seemed he enjoyed the power. They have some rule about not allowing fathers back into the birthing room, which makes no sense, but they could have quickly moved us to the VIP room. Total madness. They also mistakenly used my first name as my daughter's last name, so now I have to visit the clinic to correct her birth certificate. Of course, it can't be done online. The doctors who delivered our baby were nice, and the VIP room staff were somewhat helpful, but the rest of the experience was awful. Fathers wanting to stay with their newborns should avoid going downstairs. I recommend finding another clinic.

Если вы иностранец, лучше выбрать другую клинику, где обслуживание на более высоком уровне. Даже многие местные предпочитают именно это заведение. Зачем идти на компромисс с качеством медицинских услуг?

Ожидание здесь просто невыносимое, и процесс регистрации организован крайне плохо. Посещал это место четыре раза, и каждый раз приходилось ждать по три часа. Врачи недостаточно компетентны. Я приехал из Америки, и меня крайне разочаровал уровень управления в этом месте. Мы с беременной женой ищем другое место для обслуживания.

ნამდვილად არასდროს არ ვყოფილვარ ასეთ ადგილას, სადაც პასუხისმგებლობა სრულად იგნორირებულია! ბავშვების მდგომარეობა მათ საერთოდ არ ანაღვლებთ, და მშობლების მხარდაჭერა ნულზეა. ვერ წარმომიდგენია, როგორ ფუნქციონირებს ასეთი დაწესებულება 21-ე საუკუნეში.
