Akra is a handmade jewelry workshop and shop at 13 Abano Street in Abanotubani, Old Tbilisi.
Giorgi Shataidze has spent seven years cutting natural stone by hand and setting it in 925 silver. Every piece is made in his own workshop, from the first sketch to the finished jewelry.
Two Georgian crafts are held in one pair of hands here: natural stone set in silver, and cloisonne enamel, minankari. Giorgi makes both himself.
The shop is a few steps from the sulfur baths and the Meidan Bazaar. Open daily from 10:00 to 21:00. Custom orders are welcome.
