This is a crucial safety alert for all travelers, particularly solo women. The management here consistently invades guest privacy, shows no respect for personal boundaries, and retaliates with harassment when called out. I have included screenshots of the owner's abusive messages as evidence.
1. Ongoing Privacy Violations and False Justifications:
The male owner/manager frequently loiters outside the female dorm and enters the room without knocking. This behavior is alarming and repetitive. For instance, on June 2nd, between 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM, he opened the door without consent, claiming it was for "bathroom maintenance," which was a blatant lie. A CCTV camera outside the room recorded this, and I have requested the booking platform to review the footage. If the property is innocent, they should release the full, unedited CCTV recording from that timeframe instead of hiding it.
2. Harassment and Discrimination:
Rather than cooperating with the inquiry or providing the CCTV footage, the owner resorted to a personal attack. He tracked down my contact details to launch a barrage of abusive messages, questioning my sanity and blaming me as the victim. Additionally, this management appears to discriminate against certain nationalities, as several independent reviews suggest that the male manager has a pattern of targeting Chinese tourists.
3. Unsafe Environment and Aggressive Residents:
The hostel's poor management led to a serious safety issue recently. A long-term female resident allowed a male resident, who was only in his underwear, into the private female dorm. When I confronted him, he became aggressive, and the female resident yelled at me. Management did nothing to ensure guest safety and allowed this hostile situation to continue.
