According to one legend, the church was built by the prayers of a childless man who wanted offspring, and after his prayer was fulfilled, childless women came here to beg St. George for the gift of children. For centuries, the monastery has attracted pilgrims and believers, and people still gather on this sacred land to celebrate the Feast of Childlessness, bringing their prayers and donations in memory of the amazing mercy of the saint.
To visit Uzo Monastery, you can take a road or even a bus to Kojori, after which you will have a short walk of about 1.5 kilometers to reach this sacred place.
