Global Wari of Pandharpur, which began its journey from the UK, received a warm welcome at the temple in Tbilisi. The day was filled with bhajan and Kirtan, and many medical students were in attendance.
However, the Abhishek of the Hindu Deity and the Paduka was not conducted according to Hindu shastra; it was rushed and lacked organization. The chanting should be softer instead of loud. There was a presence of Vishnu in the avatar of Vittoba, and the worshippers wanted to sing Vittoba kirtans. Initially, this was not allowed, but as elders, we had to step in.
The temple embodies humility, devotion, and meditation, but there are areas for improvement. There should be a panditji available to perform all types of Pooja.
Prasad should be provided in some form, as no worshipper should leave without Achman (the mixture of milk, curd, honey, sugar, and ghee used for bathing the deity) and prasad—simple fruits or some sugar would suffice, no need for a full hojan.
I hope the management takes these suggestions into consideration.
