The Galaev House Museum keeps the setting of a town house and the objects tied to the name of its owner: furniture, photographs, documents and everyday things. Town houses in this region were built differently from village ones, with galleries, courtyards and internal staircases, and the building itself is part of the visit.
The house stands on Pushkin street, in the old part of Tskhinvali, among low buildings of the last century. Around it are quiet streets, courtyards and gardens. The town lies in the foothills, where the Greater Liakhvi gorge opens out.
The house is small and half an hour is enough. It is better to arrange the visit in advance, and the first half of the day is the easier time. Check the travel arrangements for this area beforehand.
