The church of St. George stands in Kelktseuli village in the north of Shida Kartli. The parish is small and rural.
The village lies in the hills west of the Great Liakhvi valley, near the boundary of the Gori and Kareli municipalities. The road here climbs from the plain along the stream valleys.
The area is close to the dividing line and movement here is restricted in places, so the route is worth checking in advance. Modest clothing is appropriate for a visit.
