The church of the Mother of God stands near Gostibe village of Kaspi Municipality and is known by the name of the local area, Gogoti. Such local names often hold better here than dedications.
Gostibe lies south of Kaspi, in the hills; the area is also known under the name Kaberi. Ertatsminda, Chachubeti and other villages of the municipality are scattered along the neighbouring valleys, and Gostibe itself has a Holy Trinity basilica.
Regular services may not be held, and the church can be approached at any time. Modest clothing is appropriate, and candles and offerings are left in their places.
