Beris Sakdari means the monk’s church: beri is monk in Georgian and sakdari is church. The church stands by Tsedani village and is open to visitors around the clock.
The place lies north of Khashuri, in the hills above the Mtkvari valley. Forest and country roads surround it, with little traffic here.
The grounds are dark at night, so bring a torch. Modest dress suits a service, and a headscarf helps for women.
