The Virgin Mary church in the upper part of Ali village is called Alis Dedaghvtisa. Dedaghvtisa is Georgian for the Mother of God.
The village stretches along a slope north of Khashuri. Two hundred metres away stands the church known as Usaneti, and lower down the village the Kviratskhoveli church.
