At the Giorgitsminda settlement site a church trace and a stone stela survive. Namosakhlari means in Georgian the place of an ancient settlement, one that life left long ago.
The place lies in the south of Akhalkalaki Municipality, apart from Apnia village with its church of St Demetre. Open highland, wind and stony fields surround it.
Do not walk over the remains of the masonry, and it is better not to touch the stela either. Use the coordinates: there are no notable buildings nearby.
