The Tsivi Tba mosque is named after the lake it stands by: tsivi tba translates as cold lake. The building is small and serves the households around.
The area belongs to Adigeni Municipality, to its high part by the Arsiani range. The Muslim population of Meskheti took shape over centuries of Ottoman rule, and mosques stand here in villages alongside Orthodox churches. In winter the roads to the upper villages can be closed by snow.
Closed clothing is expected, with shoulders and knees covered by men and women alike. The site remains part of the everyday life of the area, and that deserves respect.
