The church is dedicated to Sts Kvirike and Ivlita, a mother and her son remembered together in Georgia. Their memory falls in mid July, and the day is called Kvirikoba in the folk calendar: in mountain villages it was among the chief summer feasts.
Kvedreshi lies seven kilometres from Tsageri, away from the main valleys of Lechkhumi. There are no neighbours nearby at all: the closest shrine of the district, the Dormition church in Tsageri itself, stands more than six kilometres off. The place is secluded even by Lechkhumi measure.
The road here is a mountain one, the last kilometres unpaved and soft in the rain. The church is a village one, services are not held every day, yet it can always be approached. Dress modestly, keep quiet inside, leave offerings untouched. In summer the slopes are dry, in spring the path is damp.
