Cave complex Tsodvilt Kokhebi (Sinners' Huts), Mtskheta-Mtianeti, Georgia

Tsodvilt Kokhebi, which means "Sinner's Hut" in Georgian, is a spectacular cave complex that embodies Georgia's ancient religious history. This majestic architectural ensemble, dating back to the High Middle Ages (X-XV centuries), is located in the Kazbegi municipality, south of the village of Pansheti, on the slopes of Mount Achkalani.

Constructed of basalt rocks, the Tsodvilt Kohebi complex impresses with its scale and unique architecture. Despite the destructive impact of the earthquake, a significant part of its surviving elements allows us to appreciate the uniqueness and grandeur of this place.

Throughout three levels of the cave complex there are mysterious cavities and passages that served as habitats for monks in ancient times. Various caves are carved out on the first and second floors, and on the third level you can find ruins with notable caves and a pasture.
