The House-Museum of the Georgian writer and publicist Luka Razikashvili, also known in Georgia as Vazha Pshavela, was founded in 1961 on the date of the centenary of the poet's birth. The author received special recognition after the publication of the poems “Bakhtrioni” and “Host and Guest” in the 1890s.
Connoisseurs of Vazha Pshavel's creativity should definitely visit the museum complex in the village of Chargali, which consists of a bronze bust, the poet's house and exhibition halls. The museum's collection holds more than 2,300 items about the life and work of the writer, among which there are the author's personal drafts and notes, photographs and documentary materials.
The poet's house stands not far from the museum's exhibition building. It is a small single-storey stone house of two rooms with modest decoration: weapons, agricultural items, dishes, fireplace and wooden furniture.
