The church carries a double name: Mzetsveri and the dedication to St. George. The first part begins with the word mze, the sun, and such names in the mountains usually belonged to places open to the light, on southern slopes. What stands behind it here no one explains.

The place belongs to Dolaskedi village in the mountains of Mtianeti. The church of the same village stands about a kilometre and a half away, and beyond it begins the Zenubani cluster: the Trinity complex and a salotsavi four and a half kilometres off, the Delpini Khati site six. Pasanauri is about eight kilometres away, Dusheti twenty one.

The road is a mountain one, the last stretch unpaved and soft in spring and autumn. The church is a village one, services are not held every day, yet it can always be approached. Dress modestly, keep quiet inside, leave offerings untouched.

This place has an air of mystery and magic, featuring unique medieval architecture and stunning wall paintings. It would be wonderful to see this monastery restored. The St. George Church in Mzethveri has a narrow, unified entrance from the south, west, and north sides (with main dimensions of 13.3X12 m). There are two rectangular entrances — one from the south (later added) and one from the west. The southern entrance is located in the middle of the corresponding wall, while the western one is at the northwest corner of the entrance. A trapezoidal platform (4.2X2.2 m) was later added outside the western entrance, serving as a sort of gateway. The entrance connects to two rectangular doors on the south and north walls of the church, positioned so that they align with the edges of the walls from the interior. The church's interior features a rectangular altar area at the east, with a large window that has a stepped sill. This window is flat on the inside and arched on the outside. Similar windows can be found on the eastern part of the south wall and centered on the west wall. A wide rectangular opening was later created below the western window (1.2 m above the floor), leading into the western part of the entrance area. Each side wall of the altar has a rectangular niche, and above the southern niche, there is a smaller rectangular one. A rectangular table is placed on the eastern wall of the altar, below the window. The altar platform is raised with steps, and a square elevation (1.1X1.1 m) remains along the line of the altar, likely part of the table or cross's support. The altar is covered with a unified arch, which has a slightly expanded semicircular shape like the hall's arch. Each long wall of the hall has a single-step pilaster made of plaster. Simple profiled capitals support the arch of the hall. This construction divides the hall into two uneven parts, with the western section being nearly twice the size of the eastern one, and each pilaster has a small rectangular niche at a height of 2 m from the floor. A step runs along the entire length of the hall walls.
