The Holy Trinity church stands in Gamardjveba. The name of the village translates as victory: a toponym of Soviet origin, of which Georgia has many, and it contrasts noticeably with the antiquity of neighbouring Kakhetian names such as Ozaani or Khirsa.
Another church stands in the same village, known as Uzundara and entered a cultural heritage monument of Georgia. Gamardjveba itself lies in the south of the region, away from the paved road and from the main tourist routes of Kakheti, so few people call in. To the east, closer to the Azerbaijani border, runs a chain of old villages ending in -ani: Ozaani, Podaani, Chikaani.
The church is open during the day, from morning to evening. The road to the village is unpaved in places, so it is better to drive in dry weather. Dress with shoulders and knees covered and keep quiet on the grounds.
