Memorial Museum of George Dzigvashvili, located in the Vani Municipality at st. G. Dzigvashvili, 6, Vani, is a significant cultural institution founded in 2016. This museum, owned by a non-profit legal entity - the Vani Municipality, Center for the Development of Art, Education and Tourism, is a memorial institution. The museum exhibits a collection of 50 items, including personal memorial items of Georgiy Dzigvashvili, poet and translator (1917 – 1942). Georgy Dzigvashvili, a member of the anti-Soviet patriotic organization, became its founder during the Second World War. His activism led to his conviction and death sentence in 1942 by a military tribunal of the Transcaucasian Front. The museum is open to visitors every day, except Mondays, from 10:00 to 18:00. By visiting this museum, you will be able to plunge into the history and life of the outstanding personality Giorgi Dzigvashvili, whose memorial artifacts will tell you amazing stories from the Second World War.
