Giorgi Dzigvashvili Memorial Museum

Memorial Museum of George Dzigvashvili, located in the Vani Municipality at st. G. Dzigvashvili, 6, Vani, is a significant cultural institution founded in 2016. This museum, owned by a non-profit legal entity - the Vani Municipality, Center for the Development of Art, Education and Tourism, is a memorial institution. The museum exhibits a collection of 50 items, including personal memorial items of Georgiy Dzigvashvili, poet and translator (1917 – 1942). Georgy Dzigvashvili, a member of the anti-Soviet patriotic organization, became its founder during the Second World War. His activism led to his conviction and death sentence in 1942 by a military tribunal of the Transcaucasian Front. The museum is open to visitors every day, except Mondays, from 10:00 to 18:00.
